Make Plans For Monday Night Softball
Associated Press - Wire Feed
It's been nearly ten full months since the Great Co-ed Softball Rain-out of 2013. Last year, the annual church softball season experienced so much rain that Noah was hired to help the grounds crew. The normal excitement of the fall was severely dampened by too many cancelled games and softball talent spread thinner than fish and a few loaves of bread across two Bammel teams.
That's all about to change in 2014.
A full off-season and fresh outlook have rejuvenated the Bammel co-ed softball franchise. Months, er, more like a couple days of planning have the co-ed softball juggernaut firing on all cylinders. Spring training is complete and the front office looks to field a veteran club consisting of familiar faces such as Cassie Miller, Dennis Huff, Mandy Chan, Bob & Bobby "The Bobs" Stewart, Jonathan McCalister, Kevin Broughton, Swiss Family Ballards (Brent, Brandi, Cordan, CJ), Macy & Robyn Archer and Kent "The Commish" Pope.
Additional roster call-ups are sure to occur as the 10-week season kicks off this Monday night, September 8th with Bammel facing Spring Creek church of Christ at 8:00pm. Come on out for plenty of fellowship and fun between the foul lines on the baseball field at the Northland Christian secondary campus.
If you can't make it this week, don't worry. Our highly talented staff of local beat writers will bring you a full recap after the conclusion of each week's softball activity. However, there's no substitute for the electric - and humid - atmosphere of being at the ball park. After all, there will be plenty of Bammel softball legends IN THE MAKING.
