Share a similar start
A small set of pieces
Not too far apart

The turns of the game
Are like moments in life
As the tiles expand outward
Up, down, left and right

Some pieces move far
Some pieces move little
Some pieces are complex
Some pieces are simple

It’s hard to predict
Where each piece will land
The shape of the tiles
Depend on so many hands

Then one day we realize
That the pieces all grew
And life, just like Scrabble,
Follows one major rule

The passage of time
May impact the score
But family tiles connect us
No matter how big the board
